Huddersfield Dance Academy Choreographs Safe Reopening with Core

Dance schools have been amongst the hardest hit by the coronavirus lockdowns but Huddersfield Dance Academy has choreographed a safe reopening not once, not twice but three times thanks to support from fellow Huddersfield business Core Facility Services.

Core’s professional cleaning team carried out a thorough deep clean after each closure as part of the dance school’s reopening plans.

Laura Gonciarz of Huddersfield Dance Academy said: “For businesses like ours it isn’t simply a case of opening the doors and going back to normal, we need to make sure every part of the premises has been thoroughly sanitised, particularly when the building has been out of use for a while.

“We have also created dance bubbles to enable face to face classes to return and an extended timetable to make it easier for new and existing members to come back and enjoy their dancing once again.

“Core’s support both in terms of carrying out deep cleans and offering advice and support to maintain a hygienic environment has made a huge difference and given us the peace of mind that we are doing everything we can to keep people safe.”

Laura said demand has been high since reopening, prompting her to introduce new classes for all age groups.

“It’s so good to be back and we are really enjoying seeing our regular students in class and welcoming enthusiastic new dancers to the academy.

“We are very much looking forward to the further easing of restrictions and a return to live performances.”

Becci Smith of Core Facility Services said: “We have been impressed by Huddersfield Dance Academy’s proactive approach to reopening safely and their determination to do everything possible to prepare their premises and put the right measures in place.

“We wish them every success as we emerge from lockdown and they are able to open their facilities to even more dancers.”
